Why does Matchbook need to perform Know Your Customer (KYC)?

You might be asking yourself why do we need your employment details and why you should provide them to us? Please read below or a better understanding on the reasons for having to follow the Know Your Customer process.

The Gambling Commission have challenged operators to know their customer in order to assess levels of affordability. Disposable income levels must be a starting point for assessing financial benchmark triggers and knowing a customer’s occupation is an important factor in determining income levels and compliments businesses KYC knowledge.

Matchbook needs this information to satisfy its regulatory obligations.  These regulations are in place to protect customers from the harms associated with gambling and to ensure that all of the funds on the Matchbook Exchange derive from legitimate sources.
